Mass of male breast can range in magnitude from barely detectable mass to dimension of full female breast, with devastating psychological consequences. It may be a physiologic phenomena or be associated with serious underlying disease including
malignancy. Breast cancer in men is fundamentally identical to breast cancer in women, except for being less frequent, occurring at older age, arising regulary beneath nipple, and being more hormonally sensitive.
@EN The most common age group was 2nd decade(15/51, 29.4%). The incidence of full female breast was 17.6%(9/51). Among 51 cases, 16 cases(31.4%) were treated by operation, 13 cases(25.5%) by tamoxifen. In pubertal age group, outcome of operation
was
compatible with outcome of tamoxifen. It suggests that operation may be better treatment than observation or drug therapy in nervous pubertal patient.
